DIGI is a Romanian telecom group that entered the Belgian market in 2024 with low-cost mobile and broadband subscriptions. The company is in the middle of building its own mobile network and rolling out fibre-to-the-home in selected Belgian cities, while temporarily relying on a national roaming agreement with Proximus for mobile coverage.
DIGI's arrival has shaken the Belgian market by pushing prices down across the board, even at the established players. The provider focuses on a no-frills, low-price proposition: aggressive headline rates and a single, clear bill.
DIGI network and coverage
DIGI is rolling out its own mobile network in Belgium, but coverage in the meantime is delivered through a national roaming deal with Proximus — so DIGI mobile customers benefit from the same nationwide 4G and 5G footprint as Proximus subscribers. For fixed broadband, DIGI is progressively deploying its own fibre-to-the-home network in selected Belgian cities.
